Legacy Churches, a new title by Stephen Gray and Franklin Dumond has been designed to offer hope, wisdom and courage to church leaders struggling with the hard issues relating to church closure.

 Churches all across the nation face tough times and at least 1% of all churches close every year.  After years of service and sacrificial ministry, hundreds of once lively and thriving congregations have been reduced to a handful of participants.  What are church leaders in these settings to do?  Where do they find answers to their questions?
Drawing from their own field experiences the authors help move beyond the emotions that surround the notion of closure.  The book provides a self test to evaluate many of the issues surrounding closure, advice on determining where the church is in its life cycle, and the outline of a decision making process.

To leave a legacy is to pass on to future generations something of great significance.  In this book the authors demonstrate how a church at the end of its life cycle can give birth to a new church that can carry forward its values and beliefs.
